Their creative performances are only surpassed when they get together with the "Horners." .....and will that happen at AberFest'08 ? Watch this space to find out....the excitement mounts.

And Congratulations to Frances Bennett and a big thankyou! for the vision of starting Bagas Crowd in 2001...what a sucesss!

.

Pentorr

PENTORR are a progressive cornish folk band from south east Cornwall, playing bass driven arrangements of traditional Cornish tunes, mandolin intertwining with celtic fiddle combining of the melodic complexity of Cornish music with psychadelia and reggae infuence. PENTORR are experienced in playing for Troyl (cornish ceilidh) and Noze Looan (similar to the breton fest noz: placing emphasis on accessable dances to increase participation.) Although Will and Martin have been playing as a more traditionally folky duo, the new full four piece line up has been hitting the festivals and pubs with its brand of quirky, dub-infused folkadelic music.

.

The Pentorr Duo

The Pentorr Duo is the Cornish Folk half of Pentorr, extrapolated and distilled into atmospheric tunes and ditties. It was established to continue the fiddle and mandolin twin lead melodies that are key to Pentorr music, and retain the traditional folk club small scale element. Much of the material is derived from earlier band line ups when many members of the band branched off to uni and Martin and Will continued as a duo. New members joined and Pentorr had a new era, but the duo versions of the songs still remained. This has now branched off as a seperate entity, with performances at folk nights and an EP available for digital download at Kesson
