14:30 - 17:00 Cornish & Breton Cookery classes -

This is infact 3 cookery classes. Breton Crepes, Breton Far and Cornish Pasties. There are limited spaces so please come early. the higher workshop costs reflect the cost of the ingredience.

14:30 - 15:30 Pasties

Jocelyn Brookfield will show ( mostly Bretons? ) how she cooks Pasties for her family. As we all know every woman in Cornwall has her own recipe and way of doing things...but this is hers! And I can say personally, they are GOOD pasties - ( better than my Mums!)

16:30 - 17:00 Far

Granma Rose is a great celebrity at AberFest and famous for her Breton "Far." Far is a traditional cake from all over Brittany and is best described as something with a consistency of a firm custard tart , without the pastry! ( But different ) It is a very popular cake and a favorite with everyone who tries it.

Granma Rose has no English....but don't think that will stop her! It might sound impossible, especially if you have no French, but, it always workes out wonderfully well, almost as good as the Far itself.

14:30 - 16:30 Crepes

Armed with 2 "Galletoires" that are being brought all the way to Falmouth, just for this workshop, Laurence (on the photo), Marielle and Raymond will teach how to cook Crepes. The Galletoires are a much treasured and personal item to cook with, so bringing these heavy items all the way for our workshops is a huge favour to us!
